Whether you're looking for the fountain of youth type of ingredient, an acne buster or looking for something to keep skin moisturized, the following ingredients have something for everyone! Rather than relying on products filled with ingredients that are ineffective, irritating and harmful; reach for a natural solution instead.  Regardless of your skin type, the following are amazing skin care ingredients that everyone should include in their skin regime.

Raw Unfiltered Honey

Best known as the sweet nectar of the gods, honey has been used for centuries as a face and hair mask to replenish nutrients and antioxidents. In addition to its moisturizing properties (even for oily skin!) it contains antibacterial and antifungal enzymes that eliminate bacteria on contact. Bacteria build up is the leading cause of breakouts (especially cystic acne) when mixed with oil and sweat. Honey works to neutralize the PH of skin which in turn create an environment that bacteria can't survive.

For those looking to fade scars, uneven skin tone and reverse dull skin, honey works wonders to lighten skin naturally. Honey prompts skin cell turnover to increase the production of new cells that prompt scar tissue healing.

When used as a moisturizing mask, honey draws moisture from the air and retains it while creating a protective shied from free radicals and other harmful particles that can disrupt skin. The consistency of honey provides the moisture of a heavy cream while having the lightweight feel of a gel based product. This consistency makes it perfect for dry and oily skin!

Argan Oil

This miracle oil is lightweight yet extremely hydrating; which, is perfect for those combating acne! Argan oil is packed with fatty acids and Vitamin E which is ideal for those seeking an anti-aging product. The fatty acids help generate collagen and elastin production which leads to plumper and more healthful looking skin. Vitamin E is known for its deep humectant qualities that keep moisture in while reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Another great benefit of this oil is that it is lightweight and non-comedogenic (won't clog in pores). Other oils can clog pores that then leads to the the formation of acne. Oils are ranked on a system of how likely they are to clog pores (0 being the lowest, 5 being the highest). Argan oil carries a ranking of 0 which makes it the perfect oil for all skin types.

Rose Hip Oil

Not only does this oil smell amazing but it packed with antioxidents and fatty acids that moisturize from the inside out. Known as the anti-aging oil, rose hip oil is packed with Vitamins A & C that brighten skin around the eyes, lift crow's feet and provide a luminous appearance to skin.

The Vitamin C content found in rose hip oil stimulates collagen production which helps lift the appearance of saggy skin. Vitamin A is one of the few molecules that are small enough to penetrate deep into the dermal layers of skin. Another benefit of Vitamin A is the photo-aging protection it offers from UV rays. Over time UVA/UVB rays can damage the surface of skin that leads to discoloration, age spots and wrinkles. Rose hip oil has the capability to reverse and even prevent the signs of aging with regular use.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This ingredient not only cleanses skin; but, it also purifies while matifying skin. It is key to dilute apple cider vinegar with purified water to prevent skin from burning due to the high acidic content. I would recommend using a diluted mixture of a ratio of 1:1 to obtain benefits while preventing irritation.

In addition to its antibacterial and antifungal properties that work to fight acne and blemishes. It has the ability to kill bacteria on contact without drying or causing skin to peel. The true power of apple cider vinegar is its ability to re-balance skin to prevent it from becoming too oily or too dry.

Lastly, aside from being an effective cleanser, apple cider vinegar works to remove toxins as a toner. The regular removal toxins from skin leads to a glowing complexion as opposed to dull or tired looking skin.

Tea Tree Oil

This holy grail oil is known for its purifying properties (great for those suffering with dandruff!) and its ability to rebalance the ph level of the surface of skin. This oil also gives an invigorating feeling that really makes you feel it unclogging pores. It is powerful for treating infections at the topical level (boils, fungal infections and cystic acne). This oil is non-comedogenic which means it will not clog pores. Not only does it it treat acne; but, it can help fade the appearance of scars that acne can leave behind. The detoxifying qualities of this product also help release retained fluid that develop into eye bags to achieve a perkier wide awake look!

It is best to use this oil diluted otherwise it can dry out skin. I recommend using a ratio of 1:1 with purified water when using directly on skin.
